RC Wasserburg Group in JLSS

A fourteen-member group from the Rotary Club of Wasserburg - Germany visited JLSS from Sunday 13 until Tuesday 15 April 2014.The group was lead by the dear friend and long-time supporter of JLSS, Mr. Peter Rink.
RC Wasserburg has been a strong supporter of JLSS.
In recent years RC Wasserburg supported many projects including kitchen equipment, solar water heating systems, CNC machine, industrial electricity teaching equipment, class furniture, etc.
The group stayed in the guesthouse for two nights. They had a meeting with the director who also showed them around the school, and thanked them for their visit and kind support.
We were greatly encouraged by the visit of the group as we have not had expatriate groups coming to stay in JLSS for the last two years, with a few rare exceptions from Germany. This was one of those rare visits.
The reluctance of expatriates to visit Lebanon and JLSS is due to the security situation in Lebanon and the war in neighboring Syria.
The income from the guesthouse supports the education and care of our needy children. Having guests in our guesthouse delighted us, in addition to our joy with the visit of our Rotary friends.
We thank Mr. Peter Rink and all the members of his group for their kind visit. We also thank them for their friendship and dedicated support of our school.
