JLSS Parents' Committee News

With the temporary closure of the intermediate classes due to the new salary scale, two members of the Parents' Committee lost their membership because their children were no more at JLSS.
An election was held in accordance with Lebanese law to elect two members on Monday 29 January 2018.
Attending was the representative of the Ministry of Education Mr. Gabi Massaad.
Mrs. Nijmeh al-Sayyah and Mr. George Naim were elected to replace the outgoing members.

The Parents' Committee members and officers are now as follows:
Mrs. Amani Fares (chairperson)
Mrs. Nijmeh Sayyah (vice-chairperson)
Mr. Nasser Shmeis (secretary)
Mr. Basseem Nasr (finance committee)
Mr. George Naim (finance committee)
Ms. Rita Rashed and Mrs. Houda Saadeh are the JLSS representatives on the committee.

The parents' committee was elected on 1 December 2016 to serve for three years. The term of this committee will end on 1 December 2019 when a new committee will be elected.
