Board Member - Mrs. Souad Katul

Graduated from the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, American University of Beirut.
Taught psychology for 3 years at AUB to freshman and sophomore students in addition to special psychology courses in the Faculty of Engineering and to pre-medical students.
After raising my children: Mona, Salim and Lina, and after they were old enough to attend regular school hours. I took up voluntary work, mainly in the field of leadership training, which was a most enjoyable experience. I took many responsibilities in community work, church activities and worked on alumni boards both at high school and university levels.
During the difficult war years, I was a member of the permanent Congress for the Support of AUB.
I have also assumed the following responsibilities: President of Beirut YWCA for 4 years. President of National YWCA of Lebanon for 2 terms.
Treasurer of the church women’s group for 12 years.
Liaison person with the EMS women’s desk.
Chairperson of the World Day of Prayer (WDP) since 1987.
Member of the church re-building committee of NEC of Beirut.
Elder at the NEC for several terms.Member of the Schneller Committee.
In addition, I have worked on a number of other church committees.
I have also represented the YWCA on several national and international conferences and the Lebanon WDP on world conferences.
